Anonymous telephone support
Especially when a topic is still very new or even one which could evoke shame, this anonymity can be important. At our anonymous telephone counselling you can ask questions about HIV and how it can be transmitted, discuss uncertainties about a situation in which you could be in risk, ask for addresses of doctors and HIV testing possibilities or ‘just’ find an open ear if you are worried about HIV. But you will also get information about other sexually transmitted diseases. The specially trained voluntary counsellors of the AHF are competent and happy to help you.
The telephone counselling service of the AIDS help centres has the nationwide number 01 80/33 19 41 1 (maximum 9 cents/min. from a German landline, maximum 42 cents/min. from German mobile networks). You can reach us from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. All our calls are anonymous.
